Research Internship — Polymetallic Nodule Data Collection (Unpaid, Part-Time)

Blue Skye Development, Inc. is an early-stage startup developing a pitch deck and investor prospectus for its first round of funding. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented research intern to support this effort by locating and compiling information on polymetallic nodules in the western Pacific.
About the Internship:
- Commitment: Approximately 80–120 hours, spread over two to three months.
- Location: Remote.
- Compensation: Unpaid; however, outstanding performance and a successful funding round may lead to a full-time, paid position with the company.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-depth research using scientific databases, university archives, and credible online resources.
- Identify and summarize relevant studies, surveys, and data sets related to polymetallic nodules in the western Pacific region.
- Organize findings in a clear, accessible format for use in the company’s pitch-deck materials.
- Collaborate with company principals to refine research goals and ensure accuracy and relevance.
Qualifications:
- Some prior experience with academic or data-driven research (coursework, projects, or similar internships).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Familiarity with scientific databases and university library systems is a plus.
- Interest in ocean resources, geology, or environmental studies is desirable.
