This internship is part of the Schwartz Community Based Internships. This premier opportunity allows UR undergraduate students to access traditionally unpaid opportunities that highlight the value of the humanities in the workplace. If selected, students will receive a $5,000 stipend over a minimum 270-hour period in a non-for-profit organization in the Rochester, NY region.

Internship Overview
As a Leadership Development Intern, you will gain hands-on experience supporting initiatives that shape the future of our organization. This internship is designed for a motivated and enthusiastic individual with a passion for leadership development and community engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in Leadership Development Programs:
- Support the planning, coordination, and execution of leadership development program initiatives.
- Collaborate with steering committee teams and the Manager of Leadership Development to design and plan curriculum that enhances leadership skills and capabilities.
- Research and Analysis:
- Conduct research on best practices in leadership development.
- Analyze data related to leadership effectiveness to inform program improvements.
- Event Coordination:
- Help organize and coordinate events, workshops, and training sessions related to leadership development and LDP alumni.
- Ensure logistical details are well-managed for successful program delivery.
- Community Engagement:
- Help plan, schedule, and conduct participant interviews for the upcoming cohorts.
- Help plan and build out alumni newsletters.
- Review applications and interview notes with the steering committee and/or Manager of LDA to select final participants.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in a relevant field.
- Strong interest in leadership development and community engagement.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proactive and able to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
