Event Data Operations Internship
FOSH Live, Inc. is seeking a highly detail-oriented intern to support event aggregation and data operations. You will help expand the most complete live-event database in Philadelphia by sourcing event materials (posters, flyers, PDFs, social media images) from local venues' and artists' digital homes, transforming them into structured data inside our platform. You will work with a detailed training manual, follow standardized workflows, use AI as an extraction tool (with your strict human verification), and enter final event data into the FOSH backend (Laravel).
This internship provides hands-on experience in:
- Data operations
- AI-assisted extraction, literacy, and human-in-the-loop workflows

- Startup product operations
Compensation & Academic Credit
This is an unpaid internship intended to be completed for college or university academic credit. FOSH Live, Inc. does not provide monetary compensation for this role. We are happy to coordinate with a student’s academic department or internship office to support credit approval and required documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and collect event materials from venue websites, social media, PDFs, and posters
- Organize and maintain event files using defined naming conventions
- Use AI tools to extract raw event data (training provided)
- Verify and correct AI-generated errors (data inference; hallucinated content)
- Enter finalized event data into our Laravel backend
- Re-check all events three days before their scheduled date to confirm accuracy
- Maintain weekly logs of of observations
Learning Objectives
By the end of this internship, students will be able to:
- Understand structured data systems used in real-time, location-based information products.
- Identify, collect, and prepare event information from diverse media sources.
- Use generative AI tools responsibly, with a focus on verification, error detection, and human-in-the-loop supervision.
- Apply rigorous quality control workflows to prevent data corruption and ensure near-term event accuracy.
- Execute standardized operational SOPs within a production data pipeline.
- Develop practical AI literacy, including recognition of hallucinations, template drift, invented data, and other model failure modes.
- Prepare and upload structured CSV data into a live production backend and verify the system’s ingestion.
- Collaborate within a real tech startup team
- This internship is structured as a supervised, educational experience designed to meet common academic internship credit requirements.
Qualifications

- Owns, or has access to a modern Mac or PC (preferably a Mac) with a decent sized screen

- Experience with spreadsheets or structured data
- Curiosity about AI tools and data operations
Technical Requirements
To successfully complete this internship, students must have:
- A reliable laptop or desktop computer (Windows or macOS)
- A stable internet connection suitable for uploading/downloading files
- The ability to access Google Drive and Google Sheets
- The ability to view PDFs, images, and multi-page event materials
- Basic file management skills (renaming, organizing, uploading)
- Optional but helpful: ability to install web-based tools or Chrome extensions if needed
