Tech Industry Road Trip in Silicon Valley

The Gwen M. Greene Center for Career Exploration and Connections invites you to participate in a road trip to Silicon Valley and San Francisco to explore the tech industry.

Network with employers and UR alumni! Learn more about career and internship opportunities by visiting companies such as Google, Periscope Data, Intel, Nvidia, KLA-Tencor, Menlo Security, Handshake, Qventus, and Synapse! 

Program Details
Accompanied by Greene Center staff, students will visit 6-9 organizations, tour offices, hear from UR alumni and industry experts, and participate in networking opportunities.

Eligibility
The industry road trip is open to sophomores who are interested in learning more about the tech sector. Space is limited to 25 students.

Program Dates
This trip takes place over Winter Break on January 8-10, 2019.

Timeline
  • The application deadline is Friday, November 16th.
  • Notification of acceptance will be sent to students via e-mail on Monday, November 19th.
  • Mandatory student orientation will take place on Monday, November 26th from 4-5 p.m. in the Greene Center.

Cost
Students must support their own travel and lodging. Hotel suggestions can be provided by the Gwen M. Greene Center for Career Exploration and Connections.

Funding for travel may be available for students with financial need. If you check the financial need box on your application, we will contact you to discuss available funding.

The Greene Center will select students based on the overall strength and quality of the application materials and resume.
